I will be buying a $200.00 bottle of Crown very soon with the help of a friend of mine. The reason its so much is that it came from a premier disstalry(sp) in 1800, in which the disstalry burnt down but 2 barrels were saved. As far as I know Crown Royal bought these barrels and is selling Verry Special Crown Royal.

There is only 24 in my state and 3 of them are just down the street from me.

I will have one!

*look for it online to no avail...will post pics when its in my kitchen

Keystone light = Coors light.   [Coors brewing]
Natural Light = Bud Light.       [AndHowsYourBush]
Milwaukee's best (light) = Miller (light). [Miller brewing]

The only difference is the advertising dollars and packaging spent on each brand.

The difference in price from state to state is really suprising.   WHere I live (MD), a 30 pack of Bud/coors/miller light sells for $18.99.   Keystone, nat and the beast sell for 12.99 a 30 pack (cans).    When I lived in Georgia 7 years ago, Budwiser/coors sold for $18.49 a 24-pack.  I never saw 30 packs till i moved back north.

Hot weather beer does not have to sacrifice taste to be drinkable.

Agreed.
However.  The two elements that also need to be in place are:

1. The correct amount of funds to purchase the correct amount of beer for those in attendance. Your not always buying beer for yo' self.

2. Availability

I would much rather have a Pacifico, Modelo, or anything non Barton Beers/Americanized Corona, but I have to be able to find it in a store w/in 20min

LOL, no way. Presidente?? When did you have that? That's the beer of the Dominican Rep. I enjoyed many an ice cold Presidente over games of Bones with the locals at the corner store after my days of work down there the last two summers. Good stuff it is.

Hah!  I discovered it while playing bones with Dominicans at UMass!  It's fairly easy to find up here.

I just checked with my Domincan Republican friend and he said: "Presidente? Well, I'd say it's the best, but I'm a bit biased."

Anyway, to start the night today:

(That's Absinthe 35 - a bit 'grassy' compared to some others I've had, but gives lots of energy - perfect for a night of hunting.)

If we're tallking Mexican lagers, then Sol is the one you want.

They've got a pretty funky little flash website too.  http://www.sol-beer.de/2006/index2.html

Hitting the good ole Gottesauge absinthe again. I believe this drink gets better the more days you consume it.

Lazlo, get your ass some of this stuff.
